Arrived safely

After a harsh trip to Kenya, we finally arrived. The flight was quite though. When we arrived at Istanbul it was really foggy. First the plane circeld 4 times before a first attempt, but he failed and had to restart again. Then we had another 3 times circeling for the second attempt. This took overall an hour and when we landed there were all these firetrucks and medical cars ready next to the landing place. But we arrived safely, but due to the fog all planes were delayed. Our plane to Nairobi was delayed for 2 hours.
So we finally arrived at 06:00 instead of 03:25. The bad thing about arriving late was that we immediately got stuck in traffic jams, so the drive to our house was another 2 hours. So you can imagine how devastated we were. But the house is beyond our expectations. It's really huge, and everything is really nice. The owner told us that he is aware that lot of Kenian people don't know the concept of good service, but that he is aware of this how we feel in Europe about this and he really tried to deliver the best service we could get. We got new bedsheets, new pilows etc etc. So perfectly clean and beautiful house.
After that, we went to a shopping mall, 10 minutes walk and buyed our groceries. At 20:00 local time we all went to bed.
Now we feel refreshed and ready to explore Nairobi. Karibu Kenya ;), we love it, but I do miss my lovely wife the most of all! 1 month to go ...
